The two-storey building is “a supercharging station, classic American diner and drive-in experience” according to Tesla and is composed of two tiers of metallic-clad, rounded volumes separated by a band of red LED lighting.

“It offers visitors a classic American diner experience with a retro-futuristic twist,” said the brand.

Tucked into the front-most corner of the lot, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are distributed around the diner and two 66-foot (20-metre) LED screens border the parking lot on either side.

Diners can order food inside, or order dine-in from their vehicle when charging.

While eating, visitors can watch “movies, content and special features” on the outdoor screens from inside their vehicles, or tune-in from the restaurant’s second-storey outdoor pavilion, the Skypad.
