This week on Dezeen<\/a>, we revealed plans for Bradfield City<\/a>, which will be the first major city to be built in Australia for over a century.<\/span><\/p>\n

Designed by American studio SOM<\/a> and Australian studio Hassell<\/a>, the 114-hectare city is set to include 10,000 homes, a university campus and a two-hectare park.<\/p>\n

Its first stage of development is planned to roll out over the next five years.<\/p>\n

\"Bad<\/a>
Bad Bunny headlined the Super Bowl with a show that celebrated Latin America<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny headlined the 60th Super Bowl football game in California<\/a> with a set design that was a celebration of Latin American culture.<\/p>\n

It allowed the artist to “make his comments in a way that felt elegant”, according to the show’s creative director Harriet Cuddeford, who spoke to Dezeen about how the concept was realised.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Inflatable<\/a>
Nike unveiled an inflating jacket for the 2026 Winter Olympics<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Sportswear brand Nike showcased its Air Milano Jacket<\/a>, an air-filled jacket that can be inflated and deflated, in Milan during the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games. The jacket is being worn by Team USA and uses Nike’s Air technology.<\/p>\n

Nike also created an all-orange, heavily branded train<\/a> in Milan, to mark the relaunch of All Conditions Gear brand. The train was designed to be a base station for athletes.<\/p>\n

\"Southbank<\/a>
The 1960s Southbank Centre is now Grade II-listed<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

London’s brutalist Southbank Centre received a Grade II-listing this week<\/a>. The listing for the centre comes after a 35-year-long battle by conservation group Twentieth Century Society, which called it a “sculptural masterpiece”.<\/p>\n

Also in London, the controversial revamp of Liverpool Street Station east London got the green light<\/a>. The overhaul by British studio ACME<\/a> will require part of the station to be demolished and see a 97-metre-tall office tower added overhead.<\/p>\n

\"Exterior<\/a>
Sou Fujimoto has designed wavy high-rises for Saadiyat Island<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Japanese designer Sou Fujimoto unveiled images of the Baccarat Residences Saadiyat<\/a>, his first residential project in the United Arab Emirates. The two undulating towers will be located on Saadiyat Island, across from Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n

In Hong Kong, the Central Crossing development by British studio Foster + Partners<\/a>, which features an “illuminated spire,”\u00a0 topped out.<\/p>\n

\"Mother-of-Pearl<\/a>
Schulz und Schulz designed the concrete Mother-of-Pearl Experience Museum in Adorf<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Popular projects this week included a concrete museum inserted between traditional buildings<\/a>, a house extension for Dezeen editor Tom Ravenscroft<\/a> and a London flat with a cathedral-like roof<\/a>.<\/p>\n
