Evidence Matters has developed software that provides medical information. Accesible via the Internet, this software allows researchers and doctors to find data quickly and easily on the most effective medications for the treatment prescribed. This company received a grant from the Fondation du maire de Montréal pour la jeunesse in 2001 which was the seed money to found the company, and was also a finalist in 2002. Dr. Avital was then able to raise another $700,000 thanks to "Angels" who recognized the potential in and the quality of his product.
